#355 - HAED Mini Aquarius Rising - 27.89% completed

It’s the end of the current rotation, and so in readiness for Switch Out Sunday, I have finished stitching today and put the next WIP on the stretcher bars, and set it up on my frame.

I like #royalrows, but have noticed that in maximum confetti Highway Men Territory) I can see slight lines.  Therefore, on the focus WIP I will be doing single storey towers, instead of double, working typewriter style, and then parking in the nearest dungeon, tower or moat.

I took out Mini Magic Book to set it up, and with a sinking heart realised that it’s on the horrid DMC Magic Guide.  There is nothing about it, as I hate the 20 x 20 grid on it, although I prefer the weave of the fabric.

With it being pretty much a den of iniquity, with nothing but Highway Men in every direction I think I will have no option other than sticking to a roughly diagonal method, or considering stitching 20x20 towers  as accuracy is going to be a BIG issue.  Please remind me at every turn that I hate DMC not so Magic Guide, and must never use it again.  Anyhoo, I will ponder stitching method overnight, and decide in the morning.

The starting percentage for this one week rotation spot is 12%, how far do you think I will get.

Busy converting to #RoyalRows, and have today completed lines 31 to 40.

Also, I’ve managed to work out how to add text to iPad photos all on my own.

#349 - HAED Alpaca - 53.85% completed

It’s hot, and tempers are frayed.  A domestic has occurred.

Forgot anything I waffled on about regarding putting the rotation on hold to fully convert this project to #royalrows ... if I did ... I can’t remember.

Ever the rebel, I’m not going to do that, because Alwyn the Alpaca is standing on my last never - for so many reasons  (that make me tearful to talk about).  Other than he is a brute, a bully and refuses to love me.

So, we are officially on a break for three weeks.  I’m changing my status to “it is complicated”.

I’m off to drink a virgin Pina Colada and eat a bun.

#348 - HAED Alpaca- 53.53% completed

I’ve also just finished Page 16 … just at the top of the pink index card.

I don’t think it will be long before I’ve  completed the other pages in this page block - one of which is a partial.  That will also be about two or three x10 line completions.

Rotation for this piece should end on Saturday, however with one no stitch day I’m going to pause the rotation, and complete (line 320) to bring everything in line for giving #RoyalRows stitching method a go. I’ll explain more about that when I catch up to the end of line 320.

Depending how long that takes I will move to Aquarius Rising if it is before a switch out Sunday, then they will be counted as bonus days and start counting the rotation with Sunday as day 1 of the booked in two week slot.  Clear as mud?

Have a blessed day and keep hydrated.

#347 - HAED Alpaca - 52.74% completed

Today I’m on on Day 2 of week 3 of 3  for this main focus WIP and have actually made decent progress.

However, look away now if you do not like to go with the flow so to speak, or struggle with differing points of view.  That is definitely not a criticism, as I have had a a narrow field of perspective in the past with my glass not so much half empty, but just sitting with dregs in it!

Can you spot the olive green colour at the most bottom right of the picture?  It is glaringly discordant, and not the only stitches of that colour - I did notice it some time ago, but failed to do anything about it, as actually when mixed in with the darker browns and oranges it seems ok.  Something gave me pause this morning, and I took time to really look at it, and then go and compare what was in the Master Set.  Sure enough, brown was sitting in that slot and not the actually quite lovely olive green’ish colour.  I should say at this point that Pattern Keeper colour on the screen was indicating a brown, but looked in the olive toned range of brown, and the only person to blame is me.

Mystery solved, or at least mistake uncovered Lu and I broke out the DMC shade card, as I needed to discover what green it was.  We swapped over the colour, and noted that I only had a few strands of the brown left.  All and well and good I hear you say, what is your point?

Well, in the past I would have been very, very upset, and I can imagine that upon reading this it could be triggering to some … which is why I put the warning in above.

About five years ago I reached bottom of what a human can take, and through stitching, meditation, research and work to do the internal emotional and mental gymnastics, I can turned my dregs in the bottom of the glass to positive mental and spiritual frequency, and so I don’t care that he has green where he should have brown, I am celebrating his own uniqueness.  Alwyn, as he is affectionately know, is a special kind of Alpaca with his own story, he runs to his own tune emanating a high frequency above the herd of  colour-conforming camelids.  I will not love him less because he does not conform, I will celebrate him.

What about the sudden colour. Change?  I have left a six strand length in the working set envelope with the brown, and I will randomly work it in, and under my Law of Attraction ethos I have an opportunity to go to Heathfield Crafts to buy the brown, and see the lovely ladies there.

I think from my ramblings I am trying to tell you, well, that you do you, stay positive, happy no matter what crops up because everything happens as a lesson to assist in your spiritual ascension, if something or somebody makes you sad just smile and find a reason to laugh and keep that frequency/vibration high. There is way ore to say on that subject, but I am certain you didn’t come here for a lecture.

Most of all. Keep what resonates with YOU and discard the rest.

#346 - HAED Alpaca - 51.46% completed

So far, the new rotation is going well.  This is the wen result of the Focus piece day 7 and as week 1 of 3.  So, getting traction of 3,386 stitches is just grand. I also completed lines 261 to 27, and have been working column by column  from left to right.  There has been a creative stitching though as after  so long I had lost track and was a bit dazed and confused.  Does anyone else have this issue when going back to a project?

There are some big in HAED terms blocks of colour when I start tomorrow with day 1 of week 2/3, so fingers crossed for more traction?
