 Day 92

Page 8 is finally finished, it’s been so hot here that I managed to rack up a No Stitch Day because of it, and also a few days of low numbers for me.

However, I managed 17,540 for June which mitigated my miffishness.

We’ve been so busy in the garden today, re-locating some big plants, that I’m not really sure that it will be anything less than a lower number by the end of the evening.

Short and sweet, it’s too hot to handle at the moment.

Page 7 is now finished … which is the whole top row of pages.  I’m keeping going with it, but have rolled up the frame to make stitching easier.

Tonight, I’ve completed 100,000 plus stitches in 2023.

May you path be always in the light.

 Day 77

Page 6 is now finished, and it’s only a small section of the partial page 7.  It shouldn’t take too long to get it done.

I am undecided if I want to keep going with this one or swap out to the Alpaca.  Obviously, I did have a lot of the pages done before I brought it back on to my frame, but it is great to stitch, and I feel I have a couple of pages left in me before ennui might kick in.

It’s hot baby … so hot here … and I’m sticking to the shade apart from early morning gardening.  The heat also gives me an excuse to have an afternoon nap, as I am “resting” my poor still broken foot.

Hugs, and may your path be always in the light.

 Day 73

That is Page 5 finished, which leaves one full and one partial page on this first row of pages … it’s background too so it should zip along.

I am not sure if I have any stitching left in me today, I’ve only done 272, which is really low, but it has been a blazing hot here in the UK.

It was also too hot to do much gardening, so I will have to set my alarm for 6 o’clock or thereabouts to get out there and move the last few plants that will be in the way when the Potting Shed base goes down this week.  I can then lurk by the fan near my stand and stitch.

My foot is annoyingly slow to heal, but as the youngest kid pointed out, heavy gardening is gonna do that!

Hugs, and may your path always be in the light.

Days 65 to 68

Page 3 finished

… and Page 4 just now.

There are just two full and one partial page to finish the top row of pages, and I can then swap out to Alpaca I think.  They are mostly background, and so I can hopefully finish them off this week.

My foot was on the mend, and so I tried some more vigorous gardening, but because I cannot get wellington boots on I had to make do with my Sketchers, and stupidly wore the trainer socks - I got stung by a triffid nettle, and had a strange allergic reaction to it, which is massively painful … honestly, you can’t make this stuff up!

 Day 58

I finally completed Page 2 at about 1.30 am this morning … I was determined to get it done. I was too tired to upload my progress, and then have been in the garden most of the day.

My foot hurts like the deuce now after wealding a fork for some seriously heavy weeding, but about an

About an hour ago I hobbled indoors and started finishing off Page 3 (not included in the phot above), but as we have BBQ  and Midsommer Murders new episode on, I don’t think I will get too much done towards it.

This WIP is such fun to stitch, and I’m loving the fact that I’ve just started on the corner of the cat’s ear.
