#357 - Preping for new start and amended Rotation

I

I realised with the rotation of WIPs that I put in place a short time ago, that with just three of them, they were never going to move off their allotted spots, i.e. Alpaca 3 weeks, Aquarius Rising 2 week and Magic Book 1 week each.  So instead, I am inserting the above new start.  Currently, I am on the second go around of the original rotation, and so the pussy cat, is being inserted in between Alpaca and Aquarius Rising.  That way they will turn-and-turn-about get a three week slot.

This design was for Mother's Day I think, and he is just darling.  I am saying he, because my Grandparents had a cat just like this, called Mandy perversely.  He even has the same look on his face.

The vital statistics for him are:

Artist: Jeff Haynie

WIP Code:  CAT

No of colours:  89

Size:  500 wide by 625 high (20" by 25"

Fabric size:  32" by 38" with a three inch border - I was intending a 4" border, but it would have been too wide for my bars.

Fabric type:  25 count Easy Grid by Zweigart purchased Wool Warehouse; there was not much left over for 1.25 metres.

Methodology:  1 over 1.

** 29 August 2020 - EDITED - sticking with 1st leg bottom right to top left and 2nd leg bottom left to top right.  Parking top bottom right **

There are still two days and two weeks left (in the current three week slot) for Alpaca, and then the cat will be going in for the two week slot, and they will then all rotate around one after the other in a continuous pattern - thus all moving to a bigger or smaller allocation of weeks.  The rotation slots run from the current one, A through to I, which should take me a good way through the rest of this year, and stay then I will reassess. The intention is that if there is a finish within this, I will have a new start to replace the finished WIP ... hope that makes sense.

It was so hot yesterday, that I managed zero stitching, so I have to mark it down as a NSD - No Stitch Day.  I really should come up with some kind of forfeit for those days - there are not many though - as I feel I should at least put 5 stitches in!

As it is horrendously hot again today, I am not sure how much I will get done, but will give it a go a bit later.  Currenlty, I am blanket stitching the edge of my fabric for the CAT.  I could overstitch with the Singer Legacy Machine, but it never seems as secure as hand stitching when a project is on/off bars all of the time.

There has been some progress on Alpaca in this rotation, it is currently at 54.55% completed, and I've completed pages 15 to 18, which is up to lines 271-280.  Although I am happy to admit that I was way too lazy to take a photograph.

Still cool peeps.

Hugs

Kay
